Hardware Checker anonymous statistics

The Hardware Checker calculates your result in your browser. When anonymous statistics are enabled, the checker automatically adds the result to a daily aggregate so Latu Solutions can improve hardware compatibility guidance, scoring and model recommendations.

Information included

The aggregate dimensions are the selected operating system; RAM and VRAM buckets; GPU vendor and a fixed catalog GPU ID, or the category “other” when free-form text does not match the catalog; score band and tier; primary use case; recommended model IDs; the UTC calendar date; and checker, scoring, recommendation, data and statistics schema versions. A two-letter country code is included only when the hosting infrastructure provides one.

Information not included

The application does not send or store free-form GPU text, an IP address, exact submission time, CPU model, name, email address, account, files, content, passwords, credentials, cookies, a user, device or session identifier, or precise location in the statistics dataset. Web servers, content-delivery systems and security systems may process request data separately to operate and protect the service.

Aggregation and purpose

The application does not retain an event row for each result. Matching results for the same UTC date and dimension set increment one counter. The statistics are designed and treated as anonymous aggregate information, not as records about identifiable visitors, and are used only for aggregate product analysis.

Purpose and retention

Live daily aggregates are kept for no more than 90 days and an automatic cleanup runs daily. The 90-day period supports comparisons across checker and recommendation releases while limiting historical data.

Hosting processor and backup copies

Latu Solutions uses Polar55, part of nordicway ApS, as the hosting and backup processor. Polar55 states that the hosting account is backed up nightly: copies are retained for up to three days locally, 14 days in one remote EU location, and three months in a second EU location. An aggregate deleted from the live table may therefore remain in a rotating backup until that backup expires. Backup copies are used for service recovery, not statistics analysis.

Individual requests

Because the statistics dataset contains only counters without a persistent identifier or exact submission time, Latu Solutions cannot retrieve or delete an individual visitor’s contribution from an aggregate. Privacy rights described below continue to apply to personal data processed separately by the site, hosting and security systems.

Contact inquiries

Provide only the information needed for a response. Do not submit confidential documents, API keys or sensitive customer data.

Technical logs

Web servers and security systems may process request data needed to operate and protect the service.

External services

Analytics, embedded services or spam protection may process data when used. Their purpose and data handling should be stated clearly.

Your privacy rights

Where applicable, you may request access to, correction or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Send requests to info@latusolutions.fi.
